A Good Sigh..

So.. 4 days of holidays to Kuantan/Cherating/Kemaman.. Was it enough ?? We'll have to wait and see then. Where did we go ? We stayed at the Swiss-Garden Resort and Spa at Kuantan since we are members of Swiss-Garden International. The first day was rather simple but the second day was filled with going to places. We went to Kemaman for brunch.. visited the Turtle Sanctuary in Cherating and the Batik Village in Kuantan. The third day was a day to chill at the hotel itself.. The Swiss-Garden Resort in Lumut was slightly better but Kuantan's really nice too. The highlights on the third day were meeting an Irish man on the beach because he had 2 extremely adorable ST. BERNARDS !!!!!!!! We also had a special buffet dinner on the third day since it was Dad and Mum's 21st Wedding Anniversary. The dessert was the best array I've ever tried for a buffet. Here are the pics..

Turtle Sanctuary in Cherating
These little ones were in a special room..
they were a few weeks old and needed protection..
They were really cute..
As Christians, knowing that God's creation is in danger should mean something..

This was the Batik Village in Kuantan..
This was the workroom where all the masterpieces were being made..

The beautiful patterns..

These two ladies were working on a painting and a piece of bed sheet..
Although they were mute and deaf..
they never hesitated to smile and communicate when we walked in..

These were the special equipment the used..
Did you know that Batik is made by drawing or painting wax on an outline or pattern..
Then, soaking it in paint or paint a colour over the outline or pattern..
So it wasn't surprising that the whole place smelt of wax..
The equipment used to put color in..

The special "pencils" were used to draw in details with the wax..
See ?

This man was using stencils soaked in wax to make the batik pattern for this table cloth..

So many different stencils !!!

So this is Kuantan Chapel..
The legacy of my late and beloved Grandpa Eric (Kirton)

The church building was nice and it came with a really big compound..

Their library..
This was the most interesting part of the church..
Grandpa Eric incorporated these wine bottles in the wall of the front of the church..
It was said to be so beautiful years ago when the sun
could come through them in the mornings..
But now that other buildings have been built behind the church..
The bottles have seen better years..
This was when the lights were off..
See how it is so beautiful..
Amazing..

I managed to capture this shot of the church clock..
Interesting..

When I mentioned the St. Bernards in the beginnning of my post,
I'm sure you thought we either couldn't take pictures or we didn't take them at all..
But if you actually thought we took pictures.. and just couldn't wait ??
The only thing I regratted was forgetting their names..
Here they are..

This was the male..
Sdaly the owner told us that his mother had died a 2 months earlier..This was the female..
and the owner told us she was a few weeks pregnant !!

Trust me..
They were really big..
If they stood upright..
they could put the front paws on my shoulders..
Do the math.. Ok.. Here's this story..
The hotel's real pianist was having a break..
So dad did a little "Take Five" on the piano..
Get it ??
Break ?? Take-five ??
Nevermind..
These were only two of the 16-18 desserts they had for us at the buffet..
The one on top is the chocolate ecclaires and the on below was the bread pudding..
All the desserts were scrumptious..
By the way..
I had 19 course of buffet round..
Oops.. *feeling guilty*
Hahaha..
Anyway, the rest of the dessert I had were :
Chocolate mousse
Tiramisu
Do-It-Yourself Ice-cream (of-course)
Longan in cute 2-inch-tall glasses
Peaches with Vanila Pudding
and quite a few that I really can't remember..
*Laughs*

With good news (left)..
comes the bad (right)..

I'll have to end this post but..
It should be wourth it..
God bless..
Have a Good Sigh..
Luv

Senior Year

I'm officially no longer a full-time student of Grace Resource Center, Klang. =( It was my last day on Friday but I've got to say that I had 6 years of experience that I don't think I could have got if I had been anywhere else. Here's dedicated to GRC, Klang. Awards Nite and the Last day pics :

Awards Nite..
The time of worship led by GRC, Klang..
Stephanie and Isaac (below) were representing GRC, Klang in the
recitation of Scripture passages at Awards Nite..

I manage to sneak my last individual Award..
I got the 3rd highest percentage in tests among all 10-12th graders
of GRC PJ, USJ and Klang.

Here are the team awards..
The one below is the runner-up award for our
FUTSAL Competition which was
our second consecutive time getting to the finals and losing there.
Sigh.. *Next year !!!*

This one's the 3rd placing for
BASKETBALL..
Why are pointing to Andrew ??
He scored the winning basket literally in the last 30 seconds of the game..
This one the historical Championship trophy for..
ULTIMATE-FRISBEE..
I had the privilege of captaining the Frisbee team.
Why historical ??
It was our(Klang's) first Sports trophy ever.
We've been trying to get for at least 5 years but never succeeded til now.
Looks like we're the kings of Ultimate Frisbee then..
Go UL-TEAM-ATE (Team Name) !!

This is me passing the role-model responsibility over to Deborah,
who got the role model award this year..
(I got it last year)..

My supervisor, Mrs Poh and her husband Uncle Poh
They are also David's parent's.. Haha..

Me with my other supervisor, Aunty Esther, Rebekah and Sapphira..

This is the smaller-sized Andalas group.
From left : Me, David, Deborah, Rebekah and Renee..This was the following day in school..
This was the Awards Nite worship team posing..

This was actually our first Championship for GRC,Klang:
Creative Performance trophy, which we got in 2005.
We performed a drama entitled "The Measure of Love".

Another one of my legacies.. *Laughs*
This happened a few months ago when Brandon was doing an experiment..
He told David and I that it was impossible to break and uncooked egg..
So I took the egg and squeezed it as hard I could..
Well ... see the result..
Yup, the stains still stays til today..

Here are most of the juniors and middlers:
